for nandini, life began when she started creating. her creations have guided her path since.

at the age of eight or nine, her life began. she had found books and stories and then she started writing songs sitting in the back of her class. songs became poetry, poetry became plays for class competitions and stage performances. in ninth grade, she started writing fiction. during the lockdown, in 12th grade, she wrote over 100K words of fictional stories. that year, she secured All India Rank 1 in English Creative Writing at  the University of Delhi's extra curricular trials and was offered admission to study literature at Miranda House. nandini continued writing fiction and poetry. at Miranda, she found a special community of writers at Blue Quill, the Creative Writing Club, with whom she wrote poems. she also wrote for social initiatives and NGOs across Delhi. she found artists with who became her closest friends, with whom she began making art. in the final year of her undergraduate studies, she co-founded a publishing house with her friend, called promenade books. they opened a book store in haus khas, delhi, where she sold books and organized events. that year, she wrote Cazimi - a short-story about two boys in Delhi, 1990s. she submitted that short story to MFA creative writing programs in America. before her graduation, she received her acceptance and scholarship from The New School, New York.

leaving one city for another, nandini's life as a writer and artist began anew.
