Nandini has a MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature with a minor in Political Science from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She has worked in arts administration at The Vera List Center for Art and Politics; taught Creative Writing at The High School of Economics and Finance with WriteOn NYC, and at Doctors Without Borders, South Asia. She also works as the Creative Director of Promenade Books, New Delhi.

She has performed at The Bowery Poetry Club, St Mark's Church with The Poetry Project, After Hours at KGB Bar, Elizabeth Street Garden and more.
